About

An artist and experienced public and community engagement professional, my creative practice has developed through a close dialogue with my work as a specialist in public engagement with research at Goldsmiths, University of London.

I collaborate with academic researchers from different disciplines to create public interventions that are critical, interactive, and push the creative boundaries of public engagement.

My appearance on the piccadilly circus lights in January 2022.

My work is often co-produced or designed with diverse, grassroots publics. Projects manifest in different contexts, necessitating close partnership working with organisations including funders, museums, galleries, and local, regional and national government.

Responding to often complex research, I adapt my practice to a number of roles, including leading complex funded projects, designing interactive installations, curating exhibitions and events, creative production including co-production, and community consultations.

Drawing on my diverse creative skill set, I am adept at designing and implementing high concept, interactive, creative responses based on budgets of anything from a few hundred to tens of thousands of pounds.

My writing has been published in many different contexts including academic journals, The Guardian, and creative / life writing. I have co-curated ambitious events that have sold over 1k tickets, specifically Horniman X Goldsmiths.

Projects I have led have been supported by the Mayor of London and National Lottery Heritage Fund, with creative interventions taking place in diverse contexts including the V&A, the Migration Museum, the Horniman Museum and Gardens, City Hall, the Home Office and at Goldsmiths.

In addition to my practice-based engagement work, I have consulted on the development of national public engagement funding schemes for the British Academy, delivered training for the Being Human festival and been invited to sit on internal funding panels at the British Academy and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
